Ascleplias speciosa, Spokane: nt’íxwéyeʔ, Showy Milkweed: This stout milkweed has fleshy, almost succulent, blueish leaves and stems. Very showy globe shaped clusters of rosy pink flowers. Loved by pollinators. Host species    for monarch butterflies, who have sadly become quite rare in Eastern WA.
